The councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion Tudela, was present at the opening of the Ninth International Conference on Charities and Voluntary UCAM 2010 in Murcia which has been represented the town of Totana through a stand of the National Association of Our Lady Salus Infirmorum for the first time with the exhibition of the Association for Rare Diseases "D'Genes"
To the site have moved too this morning the Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, the mayor of Murcia, Miguel Angel House, the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, among others, to start the days.
This sample of volunteers is included within the International Conference on Charities and Volunteers, organized by the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM), in collaboration with the International Institute of Charity and Volunteer Juan Pablo II, IICV, and the Ministry of Social Policy Murcia.
The sample located in the Paseo Alfonso X of Murcia city is home to more than 70 associations through which to create a space for reflection and information for national and international associations and to help all those involved in social development work .
The various and varied activities to be implemented over the conference will highlight the current relationship between three interdependent areas such as development, peace and volunteerism.
Social Welfare The mayor stated that it is important that the town of Totana exported outside the municipality, through this exhibition, as it is and how it behaves the great local associations, actively involving more than 500 people.
