Totana welcomed the inauguration of the "First Conference for Intercultural Dialogue and Solidarity" organized by the Universidad de Sevilla, through which it aims to create spaces of encounter between native and immigrant populations.

Specific situations and prospects in the autonomous regions of Andalusia, Murcia and Valencia city of Totana chose to focus the social intervention phase, between February and May, will be held in the Region of Murcia.
The conference had the participation of technicians from the Department of Social Welfare and Citizenship, which took place in the social "San Roque", plus more than 40 people from various associations in the municipality.
The professor and chair of the University of Costa Rica Helio Gallardo Martinez was responsible for starting the workshop with the title "Immigration: Human rights day by day. Citizenship, Intercultural, prejudice, connecting from the first moment with the audience.
Working groups were conducted which analyzed the social situation of immigration in Totana and raised some ways to address them.
The Workshops are part of Project Excellence "Migration of indigenous peoples in Ecuador and Bolivia in Spain."
