The Councillor for Education, Trini Cayuela, and representatives of the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment of the Region of Murcia, in particular the Service to Diversity, recently visited the Hall Occupational Totana, to find work since the Last October the 15 students from the Institutes of Secondary Education "Juan de la Cierva" and "Prado Mayor", who do not wish to continue their studies in this mode.
This visit, which was attended by the director and head of Studies IES Prado Mayor, is framed within the monitoring and coordination activities that both institutions are established to perform throughout the school year 2009/2010.
Occupational Classroom, which is located in the old Secondary School, with the participation of a total of 15 students in Secondary Education.
One of the objectives of the Occupational Hall is aimed at reducing early exit from schooling, by adopting measures to encourage regular attendance at school and avoiding the causes of absenteeism and early drop it.
The content taught in the classroom are mostly practical Occupational and manipulative, performing pre-work for this series of workshops through which they receive full training in different areas and involving a team of professionals from the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment and the city of Totana.
Occupational Classroom, which is an organizational measure extraordinary educational promotion takes place at the stage of compulsory secondary education, and has the duration of the school year until June 2010, aims to provide students knowledge preelaborares , notably by facilitating its continuation in Initial Vocational Training Program.
Also, the Hall Occupational be assigned to the IES Prado Mayor, still rotating, then move to rely on the IES Juan de la Cierva.
In this sense, the Councillor for Education Service thanked the Diversity of the Ministry of Education, collaboration and providing the necessary resources for implementation of this initiative, while recognizing the work performed by teams, the Guidance Department.
