The Sports Council has organized a pilgrimage to Caravaca de la Cruz with which you can get the Jubilee, to mark the Holy Year 2010 in Caravaca and framed in their programs of hiking and mountain biking.
This pilgrimage will be presented in coming days as the Department is finalizing some details of it, but the Councillor for Sports, José Antonio Valverde Queen, has advanced a series of data that the pilgrimage can be made both on foot and in bicycle.
On Friday 19 March, which is a holiday, they will walk from the town of Totana to new home (town of Mula).
On Saturday March 20 walkers reach Bullas and finally, on Sunday 21 in the tour-Bullas Caravaca.
Upon reaching the Holy City, the believers and those who generally wish may attend Mass and get the Jubilee (forgiveness of sins).
The price is 80 euros per person and include two nights accommodation in apartments with all facilities and all meals, dinner and breakfast.
The cycling pilgrimage will take place in one day, the Sunday March 21 and exiting on Totana.
In this way, walkers and cyclists will come together at the Basilica of the Holy and Vera Cruz de Caravaca.
PROGRAM
Friday, March 19:
At 07:30 hours, from the side of the park, a bus will go to the pilgrims to The Stables.
At 08:00 hours, approximately, will begin route-New Homes The Stables (Mula) with a total of 25 kilometers and takes approximately nine hours.
Description of the route: route starts from the Nature's Classroom of the Stables and climbs up the hill from the Pylon on the path of Barranco de los Ballesteros.
From the hill of Pilon down to the house Enmedio ravine forest.
On the ruins of the house of Don Blas is connected to the forest track from the Silver Mine following the PR-MU-63.
Upon arrival at the humerus Collado started the descent to the site of Malvariche and the Houses of Quintin.
On the path leading to the Collado del Portillo down the forest track to the Tinker House.
On reaching the ravine Malvariche can continue on the PR-MU-78 to the farm of Lentils, or continue by road 1.8 km until you reach the Hospedería Rural New Homes.
Saturday, March 20:
At 09:00 hours you will place the exit Bullas (apartments Camping La Rafa) with a distance of 22.50 kilometers and takes approximately eight hours.
Travel Description: This stage runs in its entirety by the long distance footpath GR-252.
The first part of the route follows the service road until it Taibilla Canal in the hamlet of White Water Homes turns to the corners of Lacua and Zarzadilla de Abajo.
On the Precipice of Zarzadilla crossing the road to the site of the Posadilla, following the main road up to the Casa del Manzano.
From the top of the Silo by Apricot fields will reach the Highway of Ucenda Pasic and the PR-MU-31 can reach the Salto del Usero leaving a small stretch of road to the campsite where the Rafa ends the second stage.
Accommodation is in apartments, not in the camp.
Sunday 21 March:
At 09:00 hours efecturaá to start from Bullas Caravaca.
Distance of 23 kilometers and takes approximately seven hours.
Description of route: last stage running in large part by the Northwest Greenway corresponding to the GR-250.
Arrival at Caravaca and uploaded to the Basilica of the Holy and Vera Cruz.
17:30 pm A Mass will be held pilgrim and 19:30 hours will be the exit Totana bus.
The price of 80 euros per person includes bus transfers Totana-The Stables (day 19) and Caravaca-Totana (day 21), accommodation in double rooms with all amenities, breakfast of 20 and 21 picnic foods of 20 and 21 dinners on 19 and 20 and primer pilgrim and explanations provided by specialized instructors.
Does not include meal of the day 19 (must take a picnic) and dinner on 21 since we'll be in Totana
PILGRIMAGE TO CROSS CARAVACA
(Mountain bike)
Sunday 21 March:
Departure at 08:00 from the side of the park, with a distance of 85 miles, moderate difficulty / high and lasting approximately 9 hours.
The price is 10 euros per person, including return transportation from both the Pilgrim and the bike.
