The Department of Sports organized last weekend at the Municipal Sports Pavilion "Manolo Ibáñez" Chess Tournament, set in the School Sports Programme, in collaboration with the Chess Club Totana, where A total of thirty students several schools in the town, the youngest categories, juvenile, infant, cadet and youth.
The final winners were Alejandro Cayuela (Colegio "La Cruz") in youngest male category, Cindy Amaguaya Cerón (Colegio "La Milagrosa") in female baby, Juan Manuel García Vivancos (Colegio "Santa Eulalia"), in juvenile male; Pedro Romero Moya (Colegio "La Milagrosa") in male children, and Francisco José Romero (IES Prado Mayor "), in male youth category.
The tournament ended with the trophy for the first three finishers in each of the categories by the Councillor for Sports, José Antonio Valverde Queen, and the Chess Club president Totana, Peter Garrett.
All schools participating in this tournament will also have the opportunity to participate in the Championship Sports Promotion of the Region of Murcia, organized by the Directorate General of Sports in the Region of Murcia in Sport Programme of school age, and the first day will take place precisely at the Municipal Sports Pavilion "Manolo Ibáñez" of Totana, from nine in the morning only for juvenile category.
For the child categories, and young cadet, the first conference will take place on Saturday 23 January in Alguazas.
