The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, announced that the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs has decided to grant the XXII Premios "Food in Spain 2009", with which it seeks to recognize the work of
professionals and organizations that in one way or another involved in the food chain, as well as aspects of organic farming and environmental conservation.
Tovar Gonzalez stressed that the Food of Spain Prize for Organic Production was awarded to COATO cooperative societies Totana (Murcia) for their proven track record and its contribution to the consolidation of ecological agriculture, as regards the European body more area devoted to this type of production.
Special consideration marketer worth the effort, the implementation of techniques that respect the environment, product diversification, the strict quality protocols and the steady increase in area sown to this crop.
