A total of 80 parents have participated in the workshop "A new learning experience," which has been carried out by the Social Collective "The Candle" in collaboration with the town of Totana and the general direction of Family and Children , in which professionals have been advising parents about their children's educational process.
The course participants received yesterday from the mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, Councillor for Citizen Participation, Juan Carrion, and the head of Family Service of the Autonomous Community, Josefa García Serrano, attesting to their diplomas way through the course, which was carried out in the Social Center of San Roque, Las Parras. "
Through these training sessions, the parents have received information, training and guidance on the educational process of children.
This project is a socio-educational in nature, by which have provided useful tools and techniques for families to effectively overcome the difficult task of educating their children.
As explained by the mayor of Citizen Participation, through this workshop, we have managed a space for discussion and reflection where all participating parents have been difficulties and problems and where to all have tried to find the best solutions.
This workshop has had a specific space where the children of the participants were accompanied by a monitor which has developed several workshops and games.
With this edition is the fourth consecutive year that the project "Nexus: A new learning experience" carries out its activities in Totana.
The training sessions of this initiative began on Wednesday 14 October and has been extended on a weekly basis, until December 2.
Totana Mayor acknowledged the work of the Collective "The Candle" and the involvement of the Ministry of Social Policy, because through this workshop has achieved a communication space in which each family has contributed their personal experiences and supported by the specialists have managed to create an ideal space in which to exchange knowledge.
In addition, Martínez Andreo was pleased to see that the local office of San Roque, after its opening last summer, already operating at full capacity and there are many people who have access to municipal services offered in local and has become at the point of meeting the neighbors.
