Representatives of Action Without Borders INCODECO and visit the site (02/12/2009)

The Councillor for Citizen Participation, Juan Carrion, greeted the president of INCODECO, Karla Flores Cortes, and the president of Action Without Borders, José Antonio González, who visited the town to track the performance of projects funded by the City of Totana in Mexico and pass the requirements in them.

The City Council of Totana began collaborating in the development of cooperation projects in Atlangatepec, Tlaxcala (Mexico) in 2005 with the launch of the "Measures for Development of 2 micro sustainable in the fields of high fashion and food" , aimed at women from disadvantaged rural communities Atlangatepec.

During the years 2006 and 2007 have continued to develop cooperation activities focused on providing the necessary community infrastructure that will meet the different needs of groups that inhabit it.

Also, in December 2008 opened the Center for Community Development City of Totana, a leisure area and micro-enterprise that benefits the group of children, youth and disadvantaged women in rural communities Atlangatepec (Tlaxcala, Mexico).

This infrastructure is funded in full by the City Council of Totana.

The Community Development Center in the community of San Pedro Ecatepec, a municipality Atlangatepec (Tlaxcala - Mexico), is a space from which to provide various services such as job training and self-employment, training of community in issues as health, human rights, environment and family violence, and alternative social services, cultural and educational programs for children, youth and women, with attention spans of 600 and 250 families on average each year, through which specialists the institution has.

Representatives of Action Without Borders Incodeco and appreciated the progress of actions undertaken in Mexico and transmitted to the council in the area of development cooperation, Juan Carrion Tudela, current needs existing projects.

They also requested that, as far as possible, cover the needs in the projects, expressing his gratitude for the care and support provided.
