The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, accompanied by the Councillor of Agriculture and Water, John Pagan, has signed three cooperation agreements with the agricultural societies of the municipality, Coordinator of Organizations of Farmers and Ranchers (COAG-IR), the Union of Small Farmers (UPA) and the Agrarian Association of Young Farmers (BDA), with a total of 12,000 euros to promote the sector and encourage agricultural policies in the municipality.
The mayor of Agriculture has highlighted the interest of the City Council in the development of these sectors and the implementation of measures to enable the development of the same and that in turn serve as activators of the economy of our town.
In this sense, Pagan explained that it aims "to support farmers in our county, since it is an important economic sector in our city, dedicated to the production of products that are widely accepted in national and international markets showing a growing momentum. "
