The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and representatives of the Board of Directors of the Association of Physically Handicapped Totana (MIFITO), attended the celebration of the "XIV Awards Gala Social Commitment Awards to persons with physical disabilities and organization of the Region of Murcia, in which one of the awards was Dr. Manuel Moreno Moreno.
The gala, organized by the Federation of Associations of People with Disabilities Murcia Physical and Organic (FAMDIF / COCEMFE to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, held in the Auditorium and Congress Centre of Murcia, was also present Pension director general, John Brown, and family and friends of Dr. Manuel Moreno, Totana and neighbors who wanted to accompany him in this moving ceremony.
These awards aim to distinguish individuals and institutions that have outstanding work in favor of integration and normalization of people with physical and organic in the region.
In this edition one of the awards was presented to Dr. Manuel Moreno Moreno, attending physician of the Hematology Service of Hospital Universitario "Virgen de la Arrixaca" for their commitment and dedication to improving the quality of life of people with hemophilia in the Region Murcia, putting in their dealings with patients and their families for their great human and professional qualities.
In 1977, he took the initiative to bring together parents and suffering from hemophilia, founding what is today the Murcia Regional Association of Hemophilia.
The other winners were the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Northwest, the Fundación Solidaridad Carrefour and Jose Fernandez Liria "Pepin Liria.
