The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, accompanied by the councilman of Health, Trini Cayuela, and the representative of the building company SL Villegas, Villegas Edmundo Martinez, signed the contract award of the construction of the new Center Totana-South Health, to be located in the urbanization of scale, which also is building a municipal social center and is expected to be built up promotion of social housing.

The amount of the award of the works is 2,026,534 euros, which amounts to the amount of 2,385,000 euros to the technical improvements that the contractor has offered, and with a lead time of 14 months.

The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, has expressed joy and satisfaction with the agreement of these works, as it is a "significant act, important and historic for the town" and congratulated the work done by the departments of Health and Planning and Development, respectively, as "this is great news for totaneros and improving health services in the municipality," he said.

He informed the commitment made by the company that is responsible for the execution of works, to proceed with hiring a total of 62 unemployed workers in Totana, as well as the benefits that arise from the construction of this infrastructure relapse in local companies.

Thus, there is compliance with the commitment made by the government team, as soon will be expanded health coverage in the county to the immediate commencement of the works of the second Totana Health Center, which will be built in Olympic neighborhood in the settlement of "The Scale."

The building of the new health center will be projected onto a surface of 3,349 meters square, and includes a configuration of two floors plus a basement that will be used for storage and parking.

The remaining two floors will be devoted to consulting units grouped by general medical specialties as primary care pediatrics waiting room, cure, among others, in order to optimize available resources and telling each consultation all services and facilities required for its proper functioning.

With the construction of this new health center, is to "improve healthcare in our county, avoid crowds and waiting lists and increase the quality of life of citizens and to increase the specialties offered," the city councilman.
