The councilors of Health, Trini Cayuela, and Youth, Josefa María Sánchez, attended yesterday the Local Committee of the Spanish Red Cross, the president of the Spanish Red Cross Committee in Totana, Juan Periago Ruiz, which examined the programs that this organization has developed in the town and established lines of work for the forthcoming year.
During the meeting, discussed the programs being implemented by Red Cross in Totana in collaboration with the town of Totana, among which the provision of ambulance service for health care as well as the remote assistance, as well as other programs and projects carried out with youth and family.
Also, were appointed the new secretary and realized the low and high association volunteers.
Furthermore, we analyzed the status of the ambulance, and spoke of fundraising through the sale of Lottery Christmas Day Banderilla for the next acquisition of an ambulance.
The councilman of Health is committed to attract companies that want to collaborate in the purchase of this ambulance that provide health care to all totaneros and allocate the amount of the subsidy that the City Council awarded annually to this organization, to this end.
Thus, with the various actions carried out in different areas of volunteering, foreigners, senior citizens, transportation, child and family and wife, as stated Trini Cayuela, we will contribute to improving the welfare of the population and certain disadvantaged social groups and social volunteering.
Also, the councilors, who recognized the great work of local Red Cross and encouraged them to continue working on the same line, expressed their mutual interest in establishing a partnership with Red Cross in fulfilling the social purpose is confident of better promotion and development of social welfare of the population.
