The councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, and the president of the Federation of Immigrants in the Region of Murcia (FEDASIM), Manuel Ruiz Figueroa, presented the "Regional Workshop on immigration and social participation.
And key challenges for present and future ", to be held on 27 and 28 November in the superb under-Monasterio Hotel Santa.
This conference is dedicated to immigration technicians, professionals from different areas of citizen participation, partnerships and entities working for the integration of this group as well as people interested in the subject.
The aim of this conference, as reported by the mayor, is to reflect and raise awareness about the reality and implications presented by the participation of immigrants currently in local environments and to disseminate the tools and conditions to develop to make it effective .
In this regard, the council expressed its satisfaction with the organization of this conference in the city, which will participate in high quality speakers from different parts of Spain, in order to create a space for discussion of the implementation channels of participation in the area of immigration.
The conference will begin on Friday 27 at 09:00 am with the reception of the attendees throughout the day and will be happening various papers, which shall be borne by experts in this field.
Also, the program will continue on Saturday 28th November with the institution in charge of regional and municipal authorities, and consuls from various countries and, subsequently, continue to develop the various debates and presentations.
For his part, President of FEDASIM thanked the cooperation of the City of Totana and stressed the importance of this conference, which aim to "provide a link to present our needs and concerns in all areas of society, to achieve a more caring and inclusive society. "
