Totana City Council has awarded a definitive way the redevelopment of the Point of Care for Children (EPI) of El Parral, the commercial "Hermanos Gómez SCL" for the price of EUR 536,293.61 and a lead time of five months.
With the hiring of the second phase expansion of the Point of Care for Children "Doña Pepita López Gandía" located in the urbanization El Parral de Totana, with the IES "Juan de la Cierva", envisages the construction of 6 new classrooms that will double the number of children in school.
This nursery school, public third municipality, responds to a request from the residents of this neighborhood.
Since last September, about 60 children are enrolled in the center.
The current infrastructure houses eight classrooms children first cycle (children aged 1 to 2 years) to accommodate a maximum of 25 children each, toilet modules, an administrative area with offices, staff room, reception, public toilets, clothing, kitchen, store, playground and garden area, among other services.
The building, located across the street Santomera the corner of San Antonio, is on one level and has projected adapted for people with disabilities, adapted toilets and changing rooms as well as ramps.
With the expansion work is planned to build six classrooms, for a maximum of 25 children, three double modules shared toilets every two classrooms, a body of single-storey building, with access through the main lobby of the center.
All classrooms have direct access to playground.
Through these extension works, is to expand resources for the care of children of 0-3 years, facilitating the reconciliation of work and family life in our town and improve the quality of life of citizens.
