The new Police Headquarters Local "Alfonso Murcia Cabo" on Calle del Pilar, opens its doors to the public, following the transfer of staff from the old buildings, located in the Plaza de la Constitution, the House of Contributions.
The Department of Public Safety reminds citizens that as of today in the old police station are left to provide police services to citizens, so they will have to go to the new building.
The building, which will be inaugurated soon by regional and municipal authorities, has had an estimated budget of 520,000 euros execution, and solves the lack of space in the old barracks, given the growth experienced by the local workforce, only the latter year, has gone from 24 to 58 policemen.
The ground floor has been installed public service and the main offices of the Chief, patrol and the three cells, and on the top floor are located the other police units, which correspond to the administrative area, changing rooms and toilets .
The police agencies occupy an area of 600 square feet compared to 200 square meters available to them in the House of Contributions.
Access to public attention to the police is by Pilar Street, not Avenue Rambla de La Santa.
