A total of 35 students of the College "Reina Sofia" in the town, accompanied by their teachers and physical education teachers have participated in a program of sports and recreational activities in contact with the sea, which was held in Port Eagles sports.
This activity is framed in the School Sports Programme of the Directorate General of Sports in the Region of Murcia, and is aimed exclusively at schools in the region with more participants in the School Sport over the past year.
Participating students are aged between 10 and 12 years and have enjoyed during these two days of activities as a Journey of Fraile Island, a Climb to the Castle of San Juan de Aguilas, Sailing and Water sports Canoeing and Sports on the beach.
This activity has been carried out by the Sailing Federation of the Region of Murcia, through the Eagles Yacht Club, where they have been included in addition to the above activities, accommodation and meals for all participants.
With this new program, the Directorate General of Sports in the Region of Murcia has set the goal that the youth of our region know and enjoy places with ecological, cultural and tourism and at the same time, instill respect for the environment natural.
Specifically, this activity has made the College "Reina Sofia" has sought to offer an introduction to water sports, especially sailing and canoeing, and the opportunity to discover the possibilities offered by the south coast of the Autonomous Community Murcia Region for leisure activities and leisure, as well as their cultural and environmental wealth, and offer possibilities and alternatives to the use of time as a factor that enhances personal development and social relations.
