The Socio-Cultural Center "La Carcel" received last Friday in the framework of "Cultural Autumn," the recital of poetry to pay tribute to Dr. Antonio Martinez Hernandez, who was in charge of the Cultural Association "Seed Fund" at the Center Sociocultural "Jail."
The tribute concert was attended by the Councillor for Culture, Ana Belén García, who praised and had words of praise for Dr. Antonio Martinez Hernandez, for his great contributions and his long career in the medical world, and made delivery of a commemorative plaque.
Dr. Antonio Martínez Hernández, born in Fuente Alamo, but his childhood and youth was spent in Totana.
He has worked in several hospitals in Madrid, England and Cartagena.
Techniques pioneered heart-lung anesthesia and neurosurgery.
Murcia has conducted in ten courses and an MA in international Chronic Pain with Professor Barcia, plus numerous symposium and seminars on resuscitation and anesthesia.
He is Secretary General of the Academy of Medicine of Murcia and has published several books and currently is the secretary general of the Royal Academy of Medicine.
To mark the bicentenary of that entity, has just published a book entitled Data for Murcia health history in the twentieth century.
Also, the council was grateful to the members of the association Sermillas box ", whose dedication, hard work and collaborative efforts in promoting local culture.
Subsequently, the honoree gave a brief historical overview of the highlights and memorials in his career, and finally, there was the concert given by members of "Seed Fund".
