The Governing Council has approved a grant of 80,000 euros to the Bishop of Cartagena to carry out the restoration of the coffered ceiling of the chapel of Santa Eulalia de Totana, with the declaration of a Cultural Under-Monument.
The works, with a total budget of 108,741 euros, will focus on the coffered ceiling support elements to address the damage caused to the wood over time and bouts of wood decay.
The data cover 1545 and the alternation of pieces of wood in different shades provides a chromatic vibration the whole armor.
Most of these suits have disappeared coinciding with the reforms of the temple, hence the importance of proceeding to their conservation.
