The Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration has given a grant to the City of Totana, amounting to 30,000 euros in social services for people at risk or socially excluded.
This aid is granted totanero Consistory in subsidies for local corporations to develop programs for the distribution of basic food and personal hygiene products and home to the most needy.
The local Consistory, through the Department of Welfare, aims for development at the municipal level, a social action policy that contributes to the promotion and welfare of its people, working on improving the quality of life in different environments: family, social, occupational, educational, etc.
Also, as reported by the council in this area, Juan Carrion, develop actions aimed at promoting social integration of those specific groups that for whatever reason are in disadvantaged situations or at risk of social exclusion such as people immigrants, ethnic minorities, homeless, long-term unemployed, drug addicts, prisoners and former prisoners, as well as any other group at the margins.
