The "First Day of Information, Training and Advisory Law Unit in the Region of Murcia", organized by the Association of Graduates in Social Work and Social Workers in the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Ministry for Social Policy and the Department of Social Welfare of the City of Totana, will be held at the Centro Sociocultural "Jail" on Monday 5 October.
This briefing on the Law Unit in the Region of Murcia will be guided by two social workers, Carmen López Martínez Noguera and José Ángel López, who have a high level of knowledge of legislation and enforcement of this Act
This activity is aimed at all people who are interested in learning about benefits, services and other aspects of the Law Unit, and all the people connected to people with disabilities, the elderly, children with any kind of difficulty in their development, etc.
This law, passed in 2006 is attempting to put scarce resources to the means of protection and support of a significant group of people that due to deficiencies, diseases or disorders requiring the support of others for such basic activities of daily living, like getting , bathing, going outside, and others.
In the development and implementation of this law the partners are different levels of government: national, regional and local levels.
To promote awareness of this law, its services and benefits, the Department of Social Policy, Women and Migration in conjunction with the Association of Graduates in Social Work have launched this initiative to be carried out in the Region of Murcia.
The training session will be held from 16:00 to 18:00 for professionals involved in the care of dependent people, and 18:15 hours to 20:15 hours for the general population.
