The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, accompanied by the mayor and Comprehensive Maintenance Services of the City, Sergio Lopez, and more municipal authorities, together with the Provincial Superior of Murcia, Cayetano Martínez Norths, the father and the sculptor Pedro Martinez have Anastasio inaugurated this morning the sculpture through which pays tribute to the Capuchin Order of Totana.
The sculpture, made and gifted by Anastasio Martinez to the Capuchin Order, has been installed in a small square that has been built by the Department of Comprehensive Maintenance of the City, as floral decoration has been donated by a company in Murcia.
From now on, just as explained by Father Peter, the father figure of Novel Cappuccino Angel will preside over the square.
The Capuchin, who died on July 14, 1977 and is buried in Totana, was linked to this city for a long time, but it was exactly 15 years he spent in the Convent of Las Tres Marias Ave.
Specifically, Angel book was guardian of the Convent, the parish priest and professor of the philosophy during their stay in the municipality.
Totana Mayor explained that this sculpture is shown, as in many other cases, the gratitude of the people of Totana with the Capuchin Order, for their hard work and great works that have been conducted in more than one hundred years in the municipality.
The mayor has expressed his great satisfaction that this sculpture was installed in a place so privileged, compared to the Convent, which represents major recognition of each of the neighbors to the Capuchins.
