The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, Councillor for Agriculture and Livestock, John Pagan, and the secretary general of the Union of Small Farmers (UPA) from Murcia, Marcos Alarcon, inaugurated the conference on "Agricultural Insurance, Vegetables and Crops protected "who have had the participation of farmers and producers throughout the region of Murcia.
During the opening ceremony and presentation of these workshops will be developed throughout the day in the town, the mayor stressed the importance of work and effort undertaken by the productive sectors in Totana in this time of crisis .

This program of conferences and debates organized by UPA, will continue through this afternoon with the Workshop on "The hiring of immigrant workers in the agricultural sector, which will be opened by the council of Agriculture and Livestock, John Pagan, the director general of immigration, Leopoldo Navarro Quiles, and the delegate of the Government in the Region of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar.
Throughout this evening will be held several presentations related to procurement systems, immigration and employment and agriculture and the state of immigration in Spain.
