Municipal Volunteer Service and International Relations resumed its activities after the summer (16/09/2009)

Municipal Volunteer Service and International Relations of the Department of Citizenship and resumed its activities after the summer.

This project, launched two years ago in collaboration with the Collective for Social Promotion "The Candle" has as its main objective the promotion, dissemination, promotion and strengthening of voluntary action in the town of Totana.

The activities carried out this service information, guidance and advice to those who perform or are interested in doing volunteer activities, besides having a bag of volunteers and volunteer organizations and arrange for Volunteer Carnet.

Also from this service are courses, workshops and seminars on theoretical and practical training in volunteering and international cooperation and provides information about volunteering locally, regionally and internationally in addition to carrying out public awareness campaigns on cooperation and volunteerism.

For this last quarter of 2009 will develop various social awareness on social cooperation and volunteerism among the general population, highlighting that will take place in secondary schools and also develop training workshops for associations, and the holding Volunteer Day and participation in National Volunteer Conference to be held this year in the Region of Murcia during the month of December.

From this municipal service have highlighted the importance of voluntary activity is, making a valuable contribution to economic and social development while Totana is an important form of participation of volunteers in the life of the City Council.

Order to optimize and improve the quality of this service, developed with morning and afternoon, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 20:00, which is facilitated access to anyone interested.
