The Governing Council has approved the inclusion of 36 municipalities in the Region in the Public Transport Authority, an agency under the Ministry of Public Works and Planning.
Municipalities that form part of this entity are the Abarán, Eagles, Albudeite, Sewer, Alguazas, Alhama de Murcia, Archena, Beniel White, Bullas, Calasparra, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cartagena, Cehegín, Ceuta, Cieza, Fortuna.
To these are added those of La Union, Las Torres de Cotillas, Lorca Lorqui Mazarrón Molina de Segura Moratalla, Mula, Eyes, Pliego Puerto Lumbreras Ricote San Pedro del Pinatar, Santomera, Torre Pacheco Totana, Ulea and Villanueva del Segura.
This is a new step in the Public Transport Authority, an autonomous body responsible for this matter, to become only the transport authority of the Region of Murcia, in order to get greater facilities in the planning, management and service management regular public transport of passengers by road, both urban and intercity, in the territory of the Region of Murcia.
