Some twenty young people aged between 14 and 17 years of Totana and other municipalities in the Region of Murcia have participated in the youth camp that took place from 3 to 9 August in Nature's Classroom "The Stables" Sierra Espuña.
This activity is part of the "Summer Youth 2009" organized by the Youth Council in collaboration with the company Ecoespuña.
During this camp itinerant young people have been enjoying three nights of overnight stay outdoors in contact with nature, landscapes of the Sierra: La Santa, Santa Leocadia Shelter and Arboleja Strait.
It has been a camp through games, workshops, environmental pathways, has tried to introduce young people in understanding the various aspects of the Espuña, while generating positive behaviors towards nature, using a dynamic research and creativity, as reported by the councilman of Youth, Josefa María Sánchez.
The mayor has expressed its satisfaction with the smooth running of the camp and the success in the degree of motivation and enjoyment of young people, as this municipal department has received the congratulations of the parents of the participants for the successful development of activity.
