The Councillor for Planning and Sustainable Development of the City of Totana, María José Bedia, this morning visited the works of the Plaza de la Balsa Vieja, following which, the urban center of the city will renew its image and accessibility pedestrians, in situ the progress of works.
For now, all projects funded under the Local Investment Fund and valued at 700,000 euros, are developing normally.
With this work as the mayor explained, defines the space into two zones, one more openly linked to the use of adjacent buildings and an area for vegetation.
Among these areas, among which are large shadows, it will enable a plant discovered in which to hold cultural and leisure activities.
In addition, there will be a ramp that will connect the plaza where the Temple of Santa Eulalia to the square of the Old Balsa allowing access from the center to the disabled, among other innovations, most notably a pergola for shade , glass screens decorated with natural elements and playgrounds.
The project is being developed, which was chosen through a contest of ideas and served as the team of Enrique Mínguez Martínez, María Vera Moure, Emin Engin Kemik, Aurora Domínguez Martínez, Diego Meseguer Garcia and Jesus Garcia Fuentes.
