The Autonomous Community, through the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, has awarded a grant of 10,440 euros for carrying out the restoration of Temple of the "Santo Cristo", located in Santo Cristo Street.
Public Works will pay 75 percent of the total amount of restoration work, a project amounts to 13,920 euros, and the rest is municipal contribution.
Thanks to these works will remedy the damage that is currently undergoing this monument of Totana, included in the list of protected buildings in the municipality with grade "two" of protection.
According to the mayor of Planning and Sustainable Development, María José Bedia, this proposal was adopted by the plenary of the Corporation, was asked by the Government team to undertake the remodeling of the dome, since none of the actions have been carried out have improved the status of the Temple.
Through these works, it will sting and financial strength at the front, recalzará the pillar, wooden beams, the floor is waterproof, among other things.
