to respond to the demands made by local youth |
The Department of Social Welfare and Citizenship has applied for a grant for an amount close to 30,000 euros for the construction of a circuit skateborading in the area of the town's Ramblica in order to respond to the demands raised by local youth.
Skateboarding is a sport that is practiced with a skateboard or skateboard in any part of a street where you can roll, or on a track specially designed for this sport.
In it, the goal is to find beauty when driving such vehicle (perfecting the style and learn new tricks, such as big spin flips, boneless, etc.), as explained by the area councilor, Juan Carrión.
The skating has developed a great attraction and interest to many and is usually a promotional message for young people (skaters or not), as stated by the mayor, who explained that the proper practice of this sport requires proper places and spaces and this enabled where possible to minimize the risks to athletes and other citizens.
Also, the availability of Skatepark, as pointed out by the mayor "is a necessity demanded by the group of young people who practice the sport of skateboarding on numerous occasions and for several years and so far has not received any response."
This grant has been applied to the Presidential and Public Administration, for which the call is made to the 2009 annual grants to municipalities in the Murcia region of less than 50,000, with funds under the Cooperation Fund Local
The project, approved by the Local Government Board at its last meeting, has been prepared by the municipal architect Francisco Romero Barnes amounting to EUR 29,990.64.
