A total of 55 hemophiliacs in Spain participated in the twentieth edition of the "Days of Hemophilia Training and Youth, a summer camp that has been developed at the Center for Continuing Education Day and" The Pond "in Totana, and which has been organized for years by the Spanish Federation of Hemophilia and the Hemophilia Association of Murcia Regional.
In this camp, participants learn about their disease and treat it personally.
The closing ceremony of this conference was attended by the Mayor tail of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, who was accompanied by the councilman of Youth, Maria Josefa Sanchez, and Health, Trini Cayuela.
Also, the event was attended by the general director of Citizen Services, Juan Manuel Ruiz Ros, director general of People with Disabilities of the IMAS, Marisol Morente, president of FAMDIF, Carmen Gil, the president of the regional association of real Hemophilia Foundation Victoria Eugenia, Manuel Moreno, and the president of the Spanish Federation of Hemophilia, José Antonio Muñoz Puche.
This camp, targeting children and young people aged between 8 and 12 years, has evolved from 13 to 24 July at the Center for Continuing Education Day and the pond, where participants received medical lectures, rehabilitation and physiotherapy, and psychological help to strengthen self-esteem of young people and to know in detail what is hemophilia and learn the techniques of self-treatment of this disease.
These children also participated in cultural activities, leisure and sports within the available range for this holiday, which also include visits to places of interest in the Region of Murcia and the recent visit to the Regional Assembly .
They have also been accompanied at all times by 27 instructors and health professionals who have helped them learn to understand their disease and self-management techniques, as most are on prophylactic treatment.
During the closing ceremony, officials set aside a few words to the children involved and proceeded to the delivery of a diploma and some gifts donated by the city of Totana.
