The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, through a motion to propose to the Plenary Hall of the Corporation to urge the National Organization of Spanish Blind, ONCE, not to close the delegation of the association is installed on Totana, which benefit more than forty disabled.
The mayor explained that before the current crisis and lack of economic resources in all areas, ONCE plans to close two offices in the Region of Murcia, one of which is located in Totana.
In this sense, explained that more than 40 disabled people who are receiving advice and training through the delegation people of Totana, Alhama and booklets.
In the case where the office is closed, the disabled of Totana and Alhama should travel to Lorca to make its procedures and those of Librilla have to go to Murcia.
Furthermore, as reported by the mayor, the sale of coupons, which is the economic livelihood of the people associated with this organization, will also be affected.
Therefore, the full City Council asked ONCE to make it possible for Totana installed in office is not closed.
Martínez Andreo expects all members of the Corporation to support the motion, because in this way bets and contributing to the social economy of the municipality.
