Councilwoman Women and Equal Opportunities, Josefa María Sánchez, visited the Hall's Mobile Computing Institute of Women of the Region of Murcia, the bus enabled to provide computer courses, located in the town since 29 June where nearly a hundred women are receiving a course on basic computer and Internet.
The objective of this initiative, which is free and will remain in town until tomorrow, Friday 10th July, as reported by the mayor, is to reduce the digital gender gap, bringing the world of information technology and communication people still unaware of them.
It has also declared that "this training activity is intended to incorporate the Internet into their women every day, both for finding information, and to perform routine procedures, communicate with others, seek employment and training or as an alternative leisure ".
These proposals training participants learn basic concepts related to new technologies of communication and Internet access, and use Internet tools and resources useful for everyday life such as sites devoted to job search or electronic commerce.
The addresses of these courses are women, youth and all people interested in this course, and the minimum number in each group is 10 people and maximum 15 people, responding to requests in order of registration.
The Mobile Classroom is located on the side of the church Santiago, near the City of Totana, on 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 July 2009, teaching basic computer courses DE10: 00 - 12:00 pm 12:00 - 14:00 and 16:00 to 18:00 hours.
In Lebor is located next to the Chapel and the College, on 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 July in time DE19: 00 - 21:00 pm.
