The councilman of Deportes, José Antonio Valverde Queen, presented the competition "12 Hours of Football 7", framed in the festivities of Santiago, 2009, to be held for the third year running in the fields of artificial turf soccer Sports City "Sierra Espuña" during the evening of Saturday 18 July.
The mayor of this area has stated that expectations for this tournament are "very positive after the success of participation, social and sporting interest generated last year involving a total of 29 teams and 320 players."
The big news is that instead of playing matches in two days, due to the high temperatures will be played from almost five in the evening and wee hours of the night from Saturday to Sunday.
And this year may only involve a total of 24 teams, which will be framed in six groups of four teams qualifying for the second round the top two in each group and four best third.
This system, as noted by the mayor, guarantees a minimum of three games.
The inscriptions on the teams, which consist of an amount of 80 euros each, can be formalized in the Municipal Sports Pavilion "Manolo Ibáñez" in the mornings from 08:30 hours to 14:00 hours; Polideportivo Municipal "December 6" from 15:00 hours to 20:30 hours to 20:00 hours on Thursday, July 16 or until 24 seats are filled.
The awards are for the winners and include their respective trophies and the amount of 450 euros for the champion, runner-up 200 euros to 100 euros and for the semifinalists.
According to the forecast made by the Department of Sport, the run will be held from 17:00 to 21:00, the second round at 22:00 hours to 23:00 hours, quarter to 23:00 at 00:15 hours, the semi-finals 00:30 am to 1:15 pm and end at 01:30 hours, with the awards ceremony around 02:30 hs.
Finally, Valverde Queen has encouraged all fans of this sport to participate in the summer competition, which is still a tradition in the town.
