The councilman of Social Welfare and head of the Department of Immigration, Juan Carrion, along with the Consul of Ecuador, Patricio Gacef, and the Consul of Bolivia in the Region of Murcia, María Cecilia Orellana, inaugurated on Saturday the series of "Workshops Information on Social Affairs and Immigration for Immigrants ", which was held in the multipurpose room of the Social Center of Tyrol Camilleri.
The event was organized by the Municipal Immigration Service of the Department of Social Welfare, in collaboration with various associations formed by immigrants, and ATB Totana, Totana AEDs, FEDASIM (Federation of Associations of immigrant multiculturalism in the Region Murcia), and the Center for Integra.
During the event, developed a briefing by the director of SENAMI (National Secretariat for Migration), Oscar Jara, who explained the contents of the agreement signed between the SENAMI and Customs Corporation of Ecuador for tax exemption for duties and taxes Ecuadorians living in Spain, and on the "Cucayo Fund, which is supported by the National Government of Ecuador for business investment projects in Ecuador.
The Workshop will continue in September with the aim of providing immigrants the town of Totana information on issues such as diversity of social resources they can access, the foundations and the keys to the Aliens Act, and as on activities and patterns of action that promote intercultural harmony and adaptation in a new culture.
