The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and the councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, closed the "Training Workshop on Memory", which has launched the second consecutive year, with the awarding of diplomas to about 40 members of the Senior Center who have attended since last September, every Thursday from 5:00 to 19:00, for their classes.
The workshop had two monitors of the ACE Association, which along the course have developed various types of exercises that were intended to stimulate observation, attention, semantic memory, logical reasoning, automatic language, etc.
The course has been designed for all persons seeking to preserve and enhance their cognitive abilities, improve their quality of life, accepting your age and enjoy classes to help them express themselves as naturally they deserve.
The workshop has been divided into two groups, one for people who had already participated in these classes last year, so it already had a higher level, and another group of people who have started in the workshop of memory.
City officials congratulated all participants of the course and thanked the Cultural and Educational Association ACE, which is responsible for providing this type of course, encouraging them to continue organizing this type of initiatives that promote personal autonomy of older people .
