The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, Director General of Immigration and volunteering, Leopoldo Navarro, although significant and Councillor for Citizen Participation and Volunteer Work, Juan Carrion, this morning visited the Volunteer Bus, which began its tour of the Region 15th of May, which is now in Totana.
With this bus, the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration, aims to disseminate and bring citizens from across the autonomous region the "I Volunteer" to promote volunteerism, encouraging them to register with the Exchange Web Volunteers www.yovoluntario.com official and participate in the activities offered.
The corporate image created for the bus corresponds to the designed communication campaign, which has photos of personalities and professionals known as the president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, the band Second, the actors Pepa Aniorte and Ginés García Millán the painter Pedro Cano and doctors Ripoll and De Prado.
This initiative has joined Totana City Council through the City of Voluntary Service developed in collaboration with the Collective "The Candle", which has helped this bus visits made to the town of Totana.
In this way and taking advantage of the occasion, the Municipal Technical Volunteer Service of the locality will be throughout the day today making known the various associations and organizations that develop social projects and non-profit local and encouraging citizens to work as volunteers in these organizations.
Similarly, associations and voluntary organizations in the municipality have collaborated on this initiative by providing information on their activities (brochures, etc) to be broadcast on the bus.
The director general of Immigration and volunteering has been in charge of presenting the various services and information offered from the bus, indicating that this is an initiative that is part of the XII Congress of the Volunteer State, to be held in Murcia region, noting that "we are prepared to receive with great enthusiasm to the many volunteers and associations are mobilized each year, traveling to any part of the Spanish, to further address social issues that affect us all ".
For their part, city officials have stressed the existence of about 300 associations in the municipality, which have a large number of volunteers, making a special mention to all who collaborate selflessly contributing their know-how to improve the quality of people.
