The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, has filed a motion to be debated in plenary, to be held on Thursday 26 May, to start the record for the award of Gold Shield of the Loyal and Noble Ciudad de Totana to Colegio Reina Sofia, the town in commemoration of the educational work carried out during these 25 years in the municipality.
The Reina Sofía School of Totana, founded in the academic year 1983-1984, is celebrating its 25 anniversary and for this reason this course has organized many activities to commemorate his long and successful career.
As a school concert, a member of UCOERM (Union of Cooperative Education in the Region of Murcia), and as stated in the proposal, "it is precisely in this aspect of cooperative education that the center's work is more than stress ".
Also, as stated Martínez Andreo, "the Reina Sofía School Cooperative is a model of social economy, especially if it is, in tough economic times are where the social economy has become an effective remedy for self-employment."
Also, says the mayor through the proposal, "the center has always been characterized by the pursuit of academic excellence as well as a student development in all its facets, showing in all these years of great vocation Totana service providing an excellent academic education and training in many totaneros civic values. "
For this reason, and through this proposal, intends to start the record for the Golden Shield Award from the Loyal and Noble Ciudad de Totana the College Reina Sofia by this dual role of cooperative social economy and service to society through academic training to numerous totaneros
