Psychosocial Support Service has been conducting since February a special activity for leather work, part of the workshop on "Fine Arts", which has performed throughout the 2008-2009 season, through a grant from the Autonomous Community of Murcia.
During these months, as reported by the instructor of the workshop, Juana Garcia Belmonte, users have been working on leather belts and have made a variety of bags entirely by hand.
Users of the Municipal Services, which is responsible for the psychosocial rehabilitation of people with mental health diagnosis in Totana and serves about 25 people in morning and evening, have been very satisfied with this experience, which have checked everything can be achieved with hard work and effort.
The City Council of Totana and especially psychosocial support services, would like to thank the tannery "Lorca Pelegrín", their collaboration to donate the material and leather that has been used for conducting this workshop, since from the moment when their collaboration was requested, did not hesitate to offer their availability and kindness.
In addition, as professionals say this service, "thanks to the Lorca family business, we have undertaken a project expected and has been a success."
