The "Final Regional Aquathlon School", part of the School Sports Programme offered by the Directorate General of Sports in the Region of Murcia, held last weekend in San Pedro del Pinatar, attended by a total of 45 Totana school of education "Reina Sofia", "Tierno Galván" and "Juan de la Cierva", in the categories juvenile, child, and a cadet.
Participants in this test fry school had to complete three rounds over the morning, first a foot race of 500 meters, then a stretch of beach swimming in the 150 meters, and then another stretch of 50-foot race meters.
In the case of the junior class, the distances were just double the above.
It should be noted the excellent results achieved by young totaneros both the Individual and in teams, with four regional championships.
In individual mode, Rocío Baños, the "IES Juan de la Cierva", won first place in the female cadet while Yaiza Esteban, also of the same educational institution, was in second place.
In the female junior category, Natalia Diaz of IES "Juan de la Cierva", also finished in second place overall.
In the form of equipment, IES "Juan de la Cierva" won first place in junior class female and male children, and second place in the cadet men.
For its part, the school "Reina Sofia" took third place in the juvenile male category.
The competition ended with the presentation of trophies and medals to top three teams from each of the categories, by the Section Chief and Sports Promotion Activities of the Directorate General of Sports, Artemio Miguel Soriano Gil, and the president of the Triathlon Federation of Murcia, Diego Calvo.
