The Councillor for Education, Trini Cayuela, has reported a total of 70 students are receiving educational support in schools, "San José", "Lebor," "The Cross", "Guadalentín", "Juan de la Cierva and Prado Mayor, as well as local neighborhood social "Tirol Camilleri"
The socio-educational project and a study aid that was launched last January from the Municipal Service Control and Prevention Truancy and ends in mid June.
Actually, from this program, sponsored by the Regional Employment Service and Training, is providing educational support to six groups of pupils in primary and junior secondary school in the afternoon.
As explained the mayor of Education assistance is intended to strengthen the basic tasks of knowledge in which children are more delay, develop literacy and numeracy skills, encourage teamwork, promote the comprehensive development of children, teach study skills, among other tasks.
On the other hand, Cayuela noted project acceptance by schools that have embraced it, as well as by the families of students, leading to the creation of a waiting list to cover possible losses.
However, the mayor has emphasized that this strengthening supplements other projects carried out since the Truancy Service, and these were the "Intergenerational Mediation Service" and "Educating for the Prevention of Truancy," directed all them to prevent and reduce problems of absenteeism, failure, abandonment and school integration, implying at all times to families in the educational process of their children.
