A user of the Municipal Service Psychosocial Support, Antonio Canovas Lorca, will present a selection of his best poems collected in the book "Collection of poems" and "Disappear with reality", published by the Council of Totana, on Wednesday 20 May in Ramón Gaya Museum of Murcia.
Totanero Antonio is known by neighbors as "Antonio, the poet."
His inspiration came at age 12, when he composed his first verses.
A year later, the illness had "caught" as he himself says, "without this curb his passion for writing."
In 1994 he won the poetry prize organized by the Culture Department of the City of Totana, which prompted him to continue writing his first script of poems, "Poetry and love Ana", published in 2003, which was followed by " Poetry Anthology "in March 2005, and" Disappear with Reality "in 2007.
Antonio made a public presentation of his two latest works, which represent a selection of his best poems, on Wednesday May 20 at 20:00 am at the Ramon Gaya Museum of Murcia.
Most of his poems are based on events that occurred throughout his life, and devoted to some people and places most appreciated totaneros that have marked one way or another the journey of his life.
While reading, be accompanied by Juani Antonio Perez, who has overseen all their work over the years from the Occupational Center "José Moya" in the town, which has seen a continuous basis.
They also accompany the art Elena Raschetti, Psychosocial Support Service, which recently joined Antonio to continue this line of work and promote integration.
For this totanero is an honor to invite anyone interested to attend this event, as it will be a reading open to the public.
