The Councillor for Education, Trini Cayuela, has reported a total of one hundred families in the town of Totana received in 2008 from 200 to 500 euros in aid for schooling at the Point of Care for Children through the "Pequecheque" .
This aid, granted through the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration, is given to families with children under three years who apply and meet certain requirements.
With the "Pequecheque" as the mayor explained, parents may pay part of the fee for attending the Points of Care for Children (EPI) and the Centers for Child Care (ISC).
The mayor explained that each "Pequecheque" allows parents to pay a portion of the monthly fee for this service in the center.
Families wishing to apply for these grants can download the application forms on the website of the Autonomous www.carm.es in the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Migration.
Cayuela has indicated that parents can handle requests for 2009 through the Points of Care for Children, "Carmen Baro" and "Pepita López Gandía.
