The councilman of Health of the City of Totana, Trini Cayuela, closed the workshop on "Diet healthy and balanced," five hours, with the presentation of certificates to all who participated in it.
The free course, which has been given by the nutritionist of the municipal department, Tuesdays and Thursdays from ten in the morning until 0:30 at the Centre for Local Development, has been training, performing according to the demands made by participants and has had a great turnout.
The purpose of this course, as explained by the mayor, has been "give the opportunity for any citizen to learn that eating healthy is easy and how to care for their food"
During this action were given continuous training content on guidelines for how to eat better, how to distinguish healthy foods from the least healthy, different types of diets, healthy lifestyle and calculate calories we consume daily.
Also during the course have been implemented by measuring anthropometric measurements, BMI, fat percentage and muscle and metabolism, among other things.
These actions are part of the Prevention of Childhood Obesity that develops in the city of Totana through the Department of Health and by a grant awarded by the Regional Service Training and Employment Counseling Education, Training and Employment and co-financed by the European Social Fund.
