The municipality will undertake the drainage improvement works at the Shrine of the Holy (03/05/2009)

The City Council of Totana undertake drainage works in the Sanctuary of Santa in order to solve the serious moisture gets this landmark building and is causing structural damage, as reported by the council and Comprehensive Maintenance Services of the City Sergio Lopez.

These works, which will be implemented by the company Urbaser, licensee of Water Services, for an amount of 56,947.41 euros, consist of the execution of a drain by a ditch at the bottom lined with concrete and geotextile.

This trench, as reported by the mayor, will be filled with gravel to filter water from the ground to the bottom of the trench where it is evacuated through an existing ditch along the road.

With this draw, according to Sergio Lopez, "is meant to solve the serious moisture problems suffered by the buildings of the sanctuary in recent times which are causing structural damage."
