The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, has announced that the City signed an agreement with the four companies developing the great works of the Local Investment Fund so that they hire people who are at particular emergency situation have not work.
Thus, a large percentage of the over one hundred new contracts, a total of 522 people employed in these works, which are generated with the state-funded projects will be people who benefit from Stopping Support Service (SEAPA) pioneering initiative in the region that the Consistory has been launched to help families who encounter real problems in paying the mortgage, water, light or feeding all household members.
In addition to financial support that the Consistory will give these families of up to 1,000 euros, through the departments to develop the project are to obtain the resources necessary to enable such persons to have priority for hiring the unemployed to State Fund works.
Of all the people working on 21 projects, as reported by the mayor, over 40 percent of them will be new recruits.
Moreover, as noted after the meeting with the heads of the companies that will develop works in total will be 25 companies from Totana which these works will benefit by contracting out work or purchase of material, as businesses have also pledged to work directly with businesses and establishments in the municipality.
Martínez Andreo pointed out that thanks to the efforts undertaken by the City Council have achieved more benefits for residents of Totana in relation to works financed by the state, and that in addition to SEAPA and profit of the companies of Totana have generated more than 1,143,000 euros in economic improvement projects and companies will support cultural activities and sports, among other things.
