Civil Protection Volunteers made two emergency exits to remove swarms of bees (23/04/2009)

The 112 has required the services of Civil Defence Volunteers Totana, which have been two emergency exits to remove swarms located in public spaces that were harassing the citizens and disrupting their normal lifestyle.

One of the swarm was located in the Senior Residence "La Purisima", which hindered the heating vents and welfare of patients and staff of the Centre, where the Civil Defence volunteers had to leave one of the break rooms residents to remove the bees.

The other exit was conducted at the General Aznar street, particularly in the gardens of the College of La Milagrosa, where the local police had to cordon off the area.

Volunteers from the Association of Civil Protection Volunteers of the town have four beekeeping equipment when they complete for this type of situations, as reported, are common characteristics for this time of year.
