The students of the Escuela Taller "Casa de Las Monjas I" have recently visited the facilities of the Agricultural Cooperative COATO, in order to know the inner workings of this company and the various phases of production.
The students, who are in the initial training period of six months, could make direct contact with objectives and content of its training program in business management and environmental awareness.
The activity allowed students to analyze and evaluate the importance of the functions of production, quality and communication in a relevant company in the region, noting "from within" and with the support of technicians from the company, the various phases of production, the entry of raw materials to storage awaiting distribution, including the characteristics of its own facilities and physical plant, the composition of the portfolio and its implications in terms of cost, quality, price, demand and profitability .
After the students of the Escuela Taller Casa de Las Monjas I visited the shop "Bioshop" dedicated to the marketing of organic products from the Region of Murcia, where they could observe a communication and sales strategy adapted to the new demands consumers, the result of its growing ecological and environmental awareness, within which the provision is framed in his own House Workshop School Nuns I, the environmental awareness module.
