The Department of Education through the Municipal Services Prevention and Control of truancy, has organized a competition "comics" aimed at young people of 1 º and 2 º ESO, which is part of the program activities of the "Campaign Against Truancy Awareness 2008/2009 ", and whose deadline ended Friday 17 April.
This contest is intended to reflect the youth of the municipality of the importance of education in their lives and their future, as well as the negative consequences of abandoning the education system
Participants will then work in pairs and each pair can submit a comic, you have to promote the importance of education, the causes of truancy and the consequences that this problem can lead to both short and long term.
The works must reflect the importance of attending class, with the intention of preventing school failure, absenteeism and early school dropout.
The work will be carried in a cardboard or DIN size A4 and A3 can use the preferred artistic technique: charcoal, markers, watercolors, crayons, pencil, etc ...
Subject to compliance with the comic format is requested.
The comic should have a title and should also include a statement that encourages children to attend class, to be cheerful, clear and concise and with a striking message.
The winning comic will become the property of the City of Totana which may reproduce it freely, without any right accruing such reproduction and the Department of Education reserves the right to add a strip in showing the logo of the City of Totana.
Will evaluate the originality, quality of work submitted to the contest and the message to be conveyed
The delivery of the work will last until April 17 and will award a first prize of 150 euros to the winning couple and a second prize of 100 euros for the couple who is in second position.
