The councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, opened the III Regional Training Seminar on nutrition for immigrants, allowing 50 people to obtain food handler card.
This training activity falls within the Programme of the Day against Racial Discrimination, to address the challenge in a practical way to protect and promote health, employment and social integration of immigrants.
The conference will be developed for 6 consecutive days and allow the exam by obtaining a food handler card, which is essential for access to the workplace of the hotel and restaurant.
During their development will be giving away and given to participants of various batches of food.
The sessions are taught by professionals in the San Antonio Catholic University, UCAM, and have funding from the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Migration.
The Department of Social Welfare, through its Municipal Program Integration of Immigrants, has supported the organization of this conference disseminating them among the group of immigrants from the town, encouraging enrollment in them and by providing the premises of the Centre Social Camilleri Tirol.
