The council of Social Welfare, Juan Carrión and Education, Trini Cayuela, have recently closed Municipal School Parents, which has been provided since last October, with the development of a total of eleven lectures on different topics with the education of children, which has had the participation of a total of 350 parents.
This training program organized by the two city departments, has given talks at the cultural center "Jail", which have focused on communication with the couple and their children, how to explain sexuality, racism and xenophobia, drug addiction, how to help children in school, among others.
Municipal officials used the event to present the guide "Guidance School Parents" aimed at families, which includes those educational guidelines to be followed by parents who are related to the topics covered in the talks.
In addition, this guide will be distributed to all schools in the municipality.
On the other hand, commented that during all the talks given there has been a conciliation service, located in the playroom, where they could remain the children of those who have attended each of the workshops, being in charge of an educator.
This service has allowed more parents could attend the talks and has been viewed positively by the participating families.
Finally, the Selectmen thanked the Directorate General of Family and Minors of the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration the grant for the development of the project, amounting to 5,000 euros, corresponding to 25% of the total budget to City Council Totana.
