The City Council of Totana, through the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities within the activities under the program on March 8, International Women's Day, organized a panel discussion on reconciling work and family in which expert speakers will attend to this matter.
This activity will take place on Monday March 23 from five in the afternoon in the Socio-Cultural Center "Jail."
As reported by the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities, this round table is made with the aim of creating a space for reflection and exchange of ideas on issues related to the settlement.
This is to involve and encourage involvement in this space to the different social actors (government, associations, technicians, etc..) And the agents of the educational environment by promoting their meeting and dialogue.
From 17:00 hours to 18:30 hours, the professor of the University of Murcia, Lola Frutos, will be responsible for providing the conference "The conflict for women between family and work."
From 19:00 pm there will be the talk, "Bridging is Advocate.
Resistances and possibilities to reconcile work and family, "offered by Gonzalo Berzosa Zaballos, director of the Institute of Gerontology and Social Services.
Furthermore, last Friday 13 March, a group of women from Totana attended the conference "Opening New Fields", in Torre Pacheco, organized by the Regional Institute for Women.
The first presentation was given by Carmen Quintanilla, president of National AFAMMER.
During the talks dealt with the issue of education, reconciliation and equality.
Similarly, the importance of information technology and communication for rural women, indicating the existence of a gender gap in new technologies.
The culmination of the day was presented the "Award for Farmer of the Year 2009".
